About US
Janet’s Story
We have a lot of experiencing hosting language students and musicians. For the last 16 years we have been operating our unique Homestay Programme, based here in Co Mayo.
We enjoy meeting people from all over the world and welcome the opportunity to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Janet, the course director is a certified TESOL/TEFL teacher with a degree in Applied Taxation. She was a Scout Leader for many years in the Dublin area and enjoys the outdoors.
Janet has a great interest in history. She will be your guide on hiking trips, coastal walks and visiting places of historical interest.

Donal’s Story
Donal, a retired auditor, takes care of our mini-farm and organic garden. He is a keen fisherman and brings guests on fishing on the Atlantic Ocean (weather permitting) and on local rivers and lakes in his Canadian canoes. He is a musician and provides button accordion lessons and hosts traditional music sessions here at our home.

Aisling’s Story
Aisling is a certified TEFL and TESOL teacher . She has grown up around language students and musicians visiting our home and has been involved in our Immersion Programme from the start. For the last 5 years she has been teaching with us and since 2018, based on her experience at Donmar Cottage, she has been hosting a group at her own home.

Non solo sono i miglior insegnanti di inglese che abbia mai avuto, ma sono anche persone che capisco di cosa tu abbia bisogno per poter imparare meglio.
Personalmente sono arrivata il primo anno in Irlanda che non sapevo minimamente parlare in inglese e dopo due settimane, trascorse li, riuscivo a parlare con gli abitanti del posto e con i miei compagni, dopo tre anni invece parlo fluentemente inglese e non faccio più fatica neanche a guardare programmi in inglese.
Per tutta la giornata si deve parlare SOLO inglese, ovviamente per migliorare la propria capacità nel parlare tale lingua.
L’esperienza è indimenticabile, perché oltre a se stessi ci sono anche moltissime altre persone , spagnole,francesi, italiane , con le quali si stringe un amicizia fortissima.
